I designed Unbasic Creatives to help other photographers skip the discouragement and confusion that almost made me quit.
I spent many years of my photography journey struggling a lot. It was so hard to book clients, I couldn't contribute enough to my family's income, and I battled crushing self-doubt. I often considered returning to my former career in software, but I desperately wanted to be at home with my babies instead of back in the office.
When I tell my students I understand how tough this industry can be, it's because I know it firsthand. None of this came easy for me.
Life pushed me to a point where I had to be all in or all out with photography, and I was terrified, but I chose all in. I committed to do and learn all of the hard things to make my business work. It involved countless late nights, insanely long work weeks, and battling fear of failure. It was really tough.
But I learned some amazing things along the way:

You can go through these at your own pace, but I've outlined the ideal way to work through the content so that you're set up for real success.
This program also includes live group coaching calls every other week, individual portfolio, pricing, & brand reviews, and personal support in between calls. I am here to help you succeed — it truly is my greatest passion!
This program is designed as a 12-month experience, but it only requires a 6 month commitment. Beyond the first 6 months, coaching is only a month-to-month commitment, and is offered at a discounted rate.

Your level of experience does not matter! Yes, you do need to be well-versed in the essentials (like how to operate cameras, etc.), and to have some experience working as a photographer. However, some of my students have been in business more than a decade, and are working through major shifts in their work or are finally committing to making their business truly profitable. Others are very new to the industry, and haven't even created a website yet.

I'm Hannah.
I've been a family and newborn photographer since 2014, and I have a passion for equipping other photographers to succeed.
I spent several years running a business that, quite honestly, crushed me. I never felt good enough. I never had enough clients. I never made enough money. I was alone, and I really didn't know where to go next. Often, I wanted to quit.
