Hi, I’m Angie — wife, mama to three, homemaker, and a family & newborn photographer based in Lancaster, PA. Since 2012, I’ve been capturing heartfelt, timeless images inspired by my love for family and home. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me savoring hot coffee, snuggling my kids, tending to my garden, or decorating our home.

I believe in slowing down and seeing the beauty in the everyday. My passion is helping families preserve their lives through photographs that make you smile, tear up, and wish for time not to fly by so fast. Your legacy is worth remembering.

As a photographer rooted in capturing motherhood and family connection, I often get asked about what inspires me, what I dream of photographing, and even the less glamorous sides of the job. I thought I’d share a little behind-the-scenes peek into my world—what lights me up, what challenges me, and what I hope to photograph in the future.

What’s your favorite thing to photograph?

Hands down, my favorite moments to capture are the intimate connections between mothers and their children—and their husbands, too. There’s something incredibly beautiful about a mother’s hand gently cradling her child’s cheek, or the way parents lean in close with their heads softly nuzzled together. I’m especially drawn to the little moments: a baby’s tiny fingers wrapped around mom’s, a quiet smile shared between parents. These small, tender gestures tell powerful stories of love, relationship, and the deep bond of motherhood.

What’s a dream location that you would love to shoot at – and haven’t yet?

Oh, I dream of photographing a session at a charming farmhouse with a raised-bed garden and some chickens, or a cozy cottage that gives off all the English countryside vibes. I imagine a place that radiates peace, where the beauty of home, motherhood, and nature intertwine.

What aspects of photography do you find frustrating, or wish you could skip?

Bookkeeping, without a doubt! Logging expenses and invoices into QuickBooks is one of those necessary evils in running a business. It’s tedious, but it has to be done. A close second? The weather! Deciding whether to move forward or reschedule a session due to unpredictable weather can be really stressful. It’s a constant mental tug-of-war between trusting the forecast and hoping for the best lighting conditions.

What is your favorite type of location to shoot at?

I’m a big fan of shooting outdoors, even with the weather challenges. There’s something magical about an open field with just the right amount of shade until the sun begins to dip lower in the sky. Then I want to use all that golden light to my advantage. I also absolutely adore photographing families in flower gardens. Living next to a flower farmer has been a beautiful blessing—I’ve had the chance to use her space for sessions, and it’s become one of my favorite spots to capture love and connection.

What is your favorite time of day to shoot?

Golden hour has my heart. The last two hours before sunset offer the dreamiest light—bright and warm at first, then slowly shifting into that rich, golden glow. The colors of natural light are quickly changing at that time.

What is a belief you hold, that may not be popular in this industry?

It’s okay to grow slowly. We live in a culture that constantly tells us to hustle harder, to do more, to be better. But growth doesn’t have to be fast to be meaningful. Sometimes slower is better. You don’t have to sacrifice your presence with your little ones or your peace of mind to be successful. Keep learning, keep creating, and grow at the pace that feels right for you.
